Google has announced that Stadia will be free for two months. The promo launches today for all users with active Gmail accounts. However, it may take up to 48 hours to become available to everyone. Users will have access to 1080p streaming at 60 FPS. 4K streaming is also supported, but it will have to be activated manually. The company decided to keep it off by default to reduce the strain on servers.
Once the free period is over, users will keep their subscription but it will cost $10 per month.
Those, who connect to Stadia now will learn access to the following titles:
- Destiny 2: The Collection
- SteamWorld Dig 2
- SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
- Serious Sam Collection
- Stacks on Stacks (on Stacks)
Previously, Stadia could only be accessed with a Stadia premiere bundle which included Chromecast Ultra and was priced at $129.
Currently Stadia is available in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, UK and the United States.
However, it might be possible to gain access to the server in other countries with the help of VPN.
