According to a NY Times report, Amazon may appear on the cloud gaming market as soon as this March. They have been investing hundreds of millions of dollars and we will see the end result very soon.
NY Times claims that the working title for the new service is Project Tempo. Not much is known yet. However, we do know that it will be deeply integrated with the streaming service Twitch. Amazon envisions that such a feature will enable more users to become streamers, removing the need for a high-end gaming PC.
Apparently, the tech giant will also try to take over the online games market. Crucible is a sci-fi shooter with elements of popular MOBA games like League of Legends and DotA 2 will also be released in May. Previously it was scheduled for March 31st, but the release date had to be moved due to the ongoing crisis situation.
In addition to that Amazon will also be releasing New World. A fantasy MMO game which takes place in the alternate 17th century. Gamers are promised unique fantasy setting and massive servers for thousands of users.
If Amazon’s attempts will be proven successful, the company will work twice as hard to dominate the industry, NY Times reports.
